You were asking for it, deserve it.
What did you expect?
You think you can bloom so beautifully --
sweet round plums, lilac blossoms --
and not be picked?
Not be plucked bare?
Ripped open and ripped down,
the branches of your trees snapped up?

Your trunk is used as a stool.
You are carved and waxed and
you deserve it, you fucking tease.
Because you are lovely and loveliness
should never be wasted.
Don’t hide! Give us a little something!
Share yourself and share your fruits.
Smile, baby. C’mon, why you gotta be so sad?
And after you smile go flatten yourself.
Get trim and get trimmed,
down and smooth.
